HAMPTON - Floyd "Bud" Dirksen, 91, of Hampton died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva, with Merle Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at the cemetery.
Floyd was born March 5, 1912, in Alexander to George and Sadie (Jone) Dirksen. He attended Alexander schools and served four years in the Army Medical Corps. On Sept. 9, 1942, he was married to Dorothy Engelkes at Hampton. Floyd was a farmer and enjoyed working with the land.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Linda Dirksen of Hampton; and two sisters, Lois Paullus and Ruby Kellison both of Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
