Janet Abbas, 60, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday at the North Iowa Mercy Medical Center, Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services for Janet Abbas will be 1:30 Tuesday at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, with burial at Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel, with the family receiving friends between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o her daughter: Rhonda Warner, 705 Fremont Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Janet Elaine Fosse was born November 11, 1942, at Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of John Theodore and Ethel Charlotte Lura Fosse.

She attended the Eldora, Iowa Community Schools. On December 29, 1978 she was united in marriage to LeRoy Abbas at Flandreau, South Dakota.

She was a bartender at Elliott-Keninger American Legion Post # 252, Ackley, Iowa. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Janet Abbas is survived by her mother: Ethel Fosse of Alden, Iowa; three daughters: Brenda Roelfs of Iowa Falls, Rhonda Warner of Iowa Falls, Lorie Warner of Iowa Falls, one son: John Warner of Norfolk, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Evans of Iowa Falls, Brad Evans of Prophetstown, Illinois, Rainey Roelfs of Iowa Falls, Levi Card of Iowa Falls, Heather Moxley of Polk City, Iowa, Abegail Tahlke of Cambridge, Iowa, Megan Warner of Norfolk, Virginia; and two great-grandchildren: Alex Savov of Iowa Falls, and Adam Moxley of Polk City, Iowa.
