FAULKNER-Diane Kay Decker, 50, of Faulkner died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Christ in Alden with burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Eldora. Memorials may be directed in care of her husband: Lowell Decker, 415 Faulkner Lane, Ackley, IA 50601.
Diana was born Nov. 15, 1952, at Eldora to Eugene and Sharon Panthen. She graduated from Eldora High School in 1970. In 1970 she married Steven Eggleston Sr. and they were later divorced. She married Lowell Decker on June 8, 1980. She was employed as dietician at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls and Maple Manor Nursing Facility at Aplington. Diane was involved in HEP (Help Elderly People), 4-H, the Boy Scouts (erving seven years as Unit Commissioner) and was a past vice president of the Iowa Falls Jayceettes.
She is survived by her husband; her father, Eugene Panthen, and wife Nancy of Eldora; her mother, Sharon Rowen, of Eldora; a son, Steve Eggleston Jr., and wife Anita of Iowa Falls; three stepchildren, Darla Eighmey and husband John of Iowa Falls; Lori Grave and husband Jason of Holland and Anthony Decker of Iowa Falls; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Berends of Ackley and Jean Waterson of Eldora; and a brother, David Panthen and wife Rochele of New Providence. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Linn's Funeral Home of Ackley is in charge of arrangements.
