HAMPTON-Nettie Corbin, 97, of Hampton died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at the Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Rev. Joe Jones will officiate.
Nettie was born Aug. 4, 1905, at Hampton to U. Grant and Josephine Shiron Hunt. She was educated in Hampton Schools and on Feb. 8, 1921, she married Frank Corbin in Hampton. She was a member of the First Christian Church, active in the church circle, the sewing club and enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by a son, Roger Corbin, and wife Jan of Traer; a sister, Nola Harper, of Dumont; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Mary; and a grandson, James Shroyer.
Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton was in charge of arrangements.
