HAMPTON-Duane M. Lubkeman, 69, of Hampton died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Services were held Monday, Dec. 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton with private burial at the Coulter Cemetery, Coulter. Rev. Jon Anderson officiated.
Duane was born July 30, 1933, at Latimer to Clarence and Kirsten Krabbe Lubkeman. He graduated from Frankln Consolidated Schools in 1951 and attended Dana College in Blair, Neb. He served in the United States Army from 1954-56 stationed in Germany. On June 8, 1957, he married Jeanette (Jane) Petersen in Ruskin, Neb. He worked for North Central Farm Services from 1963 until retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton, Hampton Lions Club, Hampton Country Club and Farm Bureau. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette (Jane); his mother Kirsten Lubkeman of Coulter; a daughter, Lori Lester and husband Jeffrey of Moline, Ill.; a son Roy and wife Wendy of Hawarden; two sisters Kaye Christensen and husband Paul of Lincoln, Neb. and Maxine Scott and husband Charles of Council Bluffs; three grandchildren; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Lubkeman.
Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of arrangements.
