NEW PROVIDENCE, IA. - Fern Cook, 87, of New Providence, died Saturday of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Perry. Private burial services will precede funeral services. Which will be at 7 p.m. today at Friends Church here. Burial will be at the New Providence Cemetery.

Mrs. Cook was born in Mount Pleasant and lived in the New Providence area for many years. She was a homemaker and a retired teacher and coach in Pleasant Plain. She was a member of the Central Iowa Camera Club.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth of new Providence, Frank of Union and Lisle of Hubbard; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Biersborn Funeral Home in Union. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa Tues 20 Aug 1991.
