ALDEN - Agnes Irene Hall, 83, of Alden died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams with Rev. Tom Hunt officiating. Burial was in the Buckeye Cemetery, rural Buckeye.

Agnes was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Story County to Martin K. and Edith (Erickson) Lura. She grew up on a farm in Hardin County near Garden City where she attended school. On April 15, 1938, Agnes was united in marriage to Bennie K. Hall at McCallsburg. The couple lived on a farm in Hamilton County until 1947 when they moved to their farm near Buckeye. In 1983, they moved to their home in Alden. Agnes enjoyed helping on the family farm.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie, of Alden; one daughter, Sharon Garcia, of Iowa Falls; one son, Merlyn Hall and wife Julia of Alden; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Fosse of Iowa Falls, Blanche Marcus of Ames, and Norma Reifschneider-Atchley of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Clifford Lura of Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Cora Harstad, Myrtle Tjelta and Ruth Westwick; one brother, Gehard Lura; and a son-in-law, Joe Garcia.

Surls Funeral Home of Alden was in charge of arrangements.
