ELDORA-Beulah G. Moon Snittjer, 86, of Eldora, formerly of Steamboat Rock, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Family graveside services will take place Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at the Steamboat Rock Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Baillie officiating.
Beulah was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Marshalltown, to Harley and Etta Eyestone Botts. She graduated from Liberty School in Marshall County and was employed by Whink in Eldora for several years before retiring. In 1935 she married John Moon and they lived in Zearing. After his death she married Roy Snittjer in 1950 and they lived in the Hardin County area. Beulah was known for being a good cook and seamstress. The past two years she resided at the Valley View Nursing Home in Eldora.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy McDowell and her husband, Larry, of Iowa Falls, and Jane Luiken of Eldora; a son, Jack Snittjer and his wife, Cindy, of Steamboat Rock; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; both husbands; a son in infancy; one grandson; and five sisters.
Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.
