ELDORA-Harold F. Wehrman, 94, of Eldora, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Services will be held Saturday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with burial in the Eldora City Cemetery. Pastor David Splett will officiate.
Harold was born Nov. 5, 1906, in Eldora, to Henry and Anna Kusserow Wehrman. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1925 and on June 6, 1927, he married Agnes Ruhnke at St. Paul Lutheran Church. After the death of Agnes in 1959, he married Elvira Hinshaw on Feb. 6, 1965, in Denver, Colo. He farmed the family Century Farm west of Eldora. Harold was a member St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served as elder and president of the congregation along with other church offices. He was also a Farm Bureau member; served on the school board in the 50s, and served on the Rough Woods Cemetery Association. He enjoyed traveling and had traveled over much of the United States.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Teske and her husband, Marvin, of Eldora, and Kathleen Hackney and husband, Gail, of Gifford; three sons, H.R. (Bud) Wehrman of Big Fork, Mont., Paul Wehrman and wife, Linda, of Waterloo, and David Wehrman and wife, Joyce, of Altoona; a sister, Gladys Reece of Eldora; 16 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Agnes and Elvira; a daughter, Dorothy; a son Willard; and a brother, Forrest.
Creps-Abels Funeral Home of Eldora, is in charge of arrangements.
