MARSHALLTOWN—Albert Schmidt, 76, of the Iowa Veterans Home, formerly of Boone, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at the IVH. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel. He was laid to rest in the IVH Cemetery. Survivors include sister Mavis (Millard) Buckingham of Iowa Falls. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown was in charge of the arrangements.
