Services Here for Mrs. Hansen

Last rites for Mrs. Claus Hansen, 71, of Eldora were held Wednesday afternoon in the St. Paul's Lutheran church here with the Rev. John Zimmermann in charge. Interment was in the Eldora cemetery.

Martha Wilhelmina Henrietta Hansen was born Jan. 7, 1884 in Pomerania, Germany the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Jass. She came to the United State at the age of one and one half years and settled at Eldora.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith ans was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church.

Mrs. Hansen died, after a lengthy illness, on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1955 at the age of 71 years, three months and three days. She was preceeded in death by her husband and a daughter Pauline (Mrs. Otto Balvanz), three brothers and one sister.

Surviving are two sons, Fred with whom she made her home, and Herman of Eldora; two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. William Daleske) and Hazel (Mrs. Elvin Harm) of Steamboat Rock; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step-sisters, a step-brother and a host of other relatives and friends.
