Services Held for Ruhnke, 68, Eldora Farmer

Died Monday after heart attack; Burial in Eldora Cemetery

Funeral services for Paul Ruhnke, 68, of Eldora were held yesterday afternoon at the St. Paul's Lutheran church here with the Rev John Zimmermann officiating. Interment was in the Eldora cemetery.

Mr. Ruhnke suffered a heart attack at his home Monday morning and was taken to Eldora Memorial hospital where he died on arrival. (16 April 1956)

Pallbearers were Robert Henning, James Pagel, Lester Hinderaker, Lloyd Sievert, Kenneth Barz, and Lowell McCormick.

In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Bernard Roll, Mrs. Fred Daleske, Mrs. Vern Dobburnz and Mrs. Tom Monteith.

Mrs Walter Guenther was at the organ and the vocals were by the St. Paul's choir.

He was born in Germany July 9, 1887, son of Mr and Mrs. Fred Ruhnke. He came to the United States at the age of 14 and has lived on a farm nine miles west of Eldora since then.

He is survived by his wife, who was Lillie Pagel; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Wehrman and Mrs. George Granzow and a son Herbert, all of Eldora, 12 grandchildren and two great grand children.
