Mrs. Cable, 92 Passes Away After Lingering Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Cable, 92, were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Andrle and Creps funeral home, with burial following in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown.

Mrs. Cable was born in Switzerland, December 28, 1860 coming to the United States when five years old. She passed away Thursday evening at the Rainsbarger Convalescent home after a long illness.

She was married to Edwin Thomas in 1883. Following his death she married Edward Cable in 1902, who also preceded her in death, as did one son Clarence who died at the age of of 13.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Whitney of Eldora, Jessie who resides in Minnesota and Fred of California; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren/

Pallbearers were Harold Cable, Kenneth Cable, Frank Cable, Ray Nazor, Leslie Pettigrew and Dick Protheroe. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Ray Nazor and Mrs. Leslie Pettigrew.
