Mrs. Martha Jane Fannon, another longtime resident of Hardin County, died at her residence in this city last evening about 6 O'clock. She has been in poor health for a long time and the end was not unexpected.

Mrs. Fannon was born in the state of New York in 1828. Aug. 20th, 1845, she was married to James W. Fannon at Port William, Ohio. The five children born, survive -- Laura Surles of New Jersey, Frances Whitney of Kansas, H.W. and G.E. of Eldora, and Frank O. of St. Louis. The funeral services will take place Wednesday afternoon at 2 0'clock from the Christian Church, conducted by Rev. J.W. VanDewalker.
