Rev. Montgomery brought the Alden choir consisting of Messrs. E. Catlin, L.W. Rummel, Misses Lucinda Pagel, Madel Snider, Bertha Bennett, Lucy Snider, Gertie Bennett and Mrs. Z.W. Tobey, to the Lee Centre Church to teach the Leelites some new songs. He introduced them as his homely choir from Alden. He misrepresented them badly as it was the best looking choir that ever came to Lee Centre from Alden.
