JARED FERGUSON, aged 101 years and 8 months, died at Decorah a few days ago. He was born in Bolton, Conn., February 1, 1794, and was one of the very few surviving pensioners of the war of 1812. Last year, when he attained his century mark, a celebration was held and the old gentleman danced to the music of a fife played by a 72 year-old nephew.
