J. R. McNeese funeral set for Monday at 2 p.m.

Britt - Funeral services for James R. McNeese, 83, have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Britt Evangelical Free Church. The Rev. Carroll Swenson will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. McNeese died at his farm home northwest of Britt Thursday evening. The Grupe Funeral Homes, Britt, is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 19, 1882 at Valley, Iowa, and married June 10, 1903 to Lillie Robertson. Mr. McNeese farmed in Washington and Fairfield area. The family moved to Britt in 1946.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Isaac Kleese of Washington, Mrs. Joe Miller of Columbus Junction and Mrs. Lloyd Ames of Sheffield; one son, Royal McNeese of Britt; two sisters, Mrs. Ira Rich of Oskaloosa and Mrs. William Hotle of Washington.
