Henry Christenson Dies Following Long Illness
Kanawha - Henry Christenson, 76, retired farmer, died Friday at the Hancock Memorial Hospital, Britt, after a long illness. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt. The Rev. Donald Varce, of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell.
The son of Chris and Dorothy Christenson, he was born Sept. 21, 1882, at Benson, Iowa. The family moved to Hancock Co. near Goodell when he was 3. He was married to Beulah E. Smith at Eldora, April 14, 1934. They farmed east of Kanawha until retiring in 1941.
Survivors are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Roland (Vogal) Schultz, Covina, Calif.; a brother, Harvey, Cicero, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Alpha Church, Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by four sisters.
