John G. Brcka

Britt - John G. Brcka, 81, died at his home Saturday afternoon. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan. The Rev. Clarence Frana will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery with Boughton Funeral Home in Charge.

Born April 16, 1886, at Duncan, he was the son of John and Anna Nedved Brcka. He was married Nov. 12, 1912, to Emily F. Kulas at Dubuque. They farmed near Duncan until moving to town in 1958. He was a member of the Catholic Workerman's Lodge at Duncan, a trustee and school director in Erin Township.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, George, Britt; Leonard, a comptroller at the University of Iowa; Clarence, Britt; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Chesshir, Lincoln, Neb.; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother, Joe, Duncan, and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Emma) Paca, Duncan.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
