Rites Thursday for John H. Bode

Woden - Funeral services for John H. Bode, 76, former Woden banker, will be held Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church at Woden. Burial will be in the Bingham Township cemetery.

Mr. Bode has been in failing health the past year. His condition became worse and he was taken to the Community Hospital at Fairmont, Minn., where he died Monday evening.

For many years he operated the Bank of Woden and was active in community affairs. He had served as secretary of the Woden school and Bingham Township school and in later years operated an insurance agency. His wife died in September, 1952.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Bode of Woden and Ted Bode of Caylon, Minn., and a daughter, Mrs. Harold Jacobson of Britt. There are six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
