Oliver Bingham

Britt - Funeral services for Oliver C. Bingham, 72, former Britt resident who died at his home in Albuquerque, N.M., Sunday, will be held there Wednesday.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bingham Township Cemetery in Woden. The Rev. Russell Markkula, of the Woden Presbyterian Church, will officiate, with the Boughton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Thursday to noon Saturday.

Mr. Bingham, farmed near Woden and Britt until moving to New Mexico 25 years ago. He was born Oct. 9, 1897, in Woden, the son of Andy and Emma (Arneson) Bingham. He married Cora Fisher in Garner, March 24, 1917.

He was a fireman in Albuquerque with the Sandia Military Base.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Wilbur, Torrance, Valif., Vernon, San Francisco, Calif., Cecil, Los Alamos, N. M., and Roger, Brainerd, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Timms, Fairfax, Va., Mrs. Jack (Catherine) Flint, Albuquerque, N. M.; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Steve (Ruth) Goff, Omak, Wash., Mrs. Faith Bowman, Ogema, Minn.; and one brother, Victor, Garner.

He was preceded in death by one son and one sister.
