Mabel Rose was born December 25, 1889 at Hardin County, Iowa to Nancy Ellen Moyer and Harry Thomas Rose.

Found in the 1895-1900 censuses living at Crystal, Hancock, Iowa:
1895: Mable Rose age 5.

1900: Harry T Rose 32, Nancy Rose 32, Mable Rose 10, Wildreth M Rose 8, Howard H Rose 8, Vera Rose 6, Warren C Rose 3, Dotta Rose 1, Nels O Holland 23, Ole Halverson 18.

In January of 1909, Mabel married Knute Christenson at Hancock, Iowa.

The couple had 3 children:
Merrill (b October 1909)
Velma (b 1914) and
Mabel (b April 1916).

Found in the 1910-1915 censuses at Crystal, Hancock, Iowa:
1910: Knute Christenson 22, Mabel Christenson 20, Merald Christenson 6 months. Married 1 year. Methodist.

1915: Mabel Christenson age 25.

Mabel Christenson died on April 7, 1916 at Crystal, Hancock, Iowa from complications of her daughter's childbirth.

She is buried at the Crystal Lake Township Cemetery, Crystal, Hancock, Iowa. There is a memorial for her at Find a Grave #103972041.

Family note: Knute was married to two related Rose women: first, Mabel Rose, daughter of Harry Thomas Rose (1867 - 1955) and granddaughter of Warren Cushman Rose (1846-1902) and then Kathryn Isabel "Kittie" Rose, 17 yrs younger sister of Harry Thomas Rose & daughter of Warren C Rose, Mabel's aunt! Knute and Kathyrn's daughter Etta was probably named after Kathryn's Mom, Etta Murphy Rose.
