Garner Woman Dies at Daughters Home

Garner - Funeral services will be held for Mrs. L. I. Stewart on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Roy Quintus home and at 2 p.m. at the United Presbyterian church with the Rev. J. Dallas Gibson in charge. Burial will be in the Concord township cemetery. Mrs. Stewart died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Niels Peterson, in Mason City Sunday at 8 a.m. following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Stewart was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Johnston, and was born at Allerton, Feb 2, 1879. On Feb. 27, 1901, she was married to L. I. Stewart and on Oct. 1, 1917 the family moved to Garner where they resided since.

Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Vera Armstrong, and Mrs Roy Quintus of Garner; Mrs. Niels Peterson of Mason City; and Mrs. Vern Williams of Joice; brothers: Orville Johnston of Garner; W. F. Johnston, of Randolph, Nebr,; E. D. Johnston, Dixon, Nebr.; sisters: Mrs. F. R. Fiero, Garner; Mrs. S. F. Kiblinger and Mrs. Charles Stewart, both of Kansas City, Mo.

Her husband died 3 years ago.
