RITES HELD FOR CORWITH MAN

George W. Stambaugh Dies After Illness of Many Months

CORWITH - Funeral services for George W. Stambaugh, 84, were held at the home Thursday afternoon. The Rev A. J. Barkley, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Burial was made in the Corwith cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dr. T. E. Feveby of Humboldt, Fay Space, E. G. Gaskill, A. E. Muillins, Harvey Punke and Robert Hartwig. Mrs. J. Worth Miller and Miss Esther Smith sang with violin accompaniment by Mr. Miller.

Mr. Stambaugh died Tuesday morning after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife, four children, Ira V. of Huntington Park, Cal., Elva, at home, Wilbert F. of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Mrs. Arthur Scheffelman of Corwith, 19 grandchildren and by one sister, Mrs. Martha Eva Berry of Cedar Rapids.

Relatives from away who attended the services were Ira V. Stambaugh of Huntington Park, Cal., Mrs. Mary L. Snyder of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ewing of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stambaugh and daughter, Susan Jane of Springville and Mrs. W. F. Stambaugh of Donnelly, Minn.
