AGED CORWITH WOMAN DIES

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Stambaugh, 81

CORWITH - Mrs. Anibel Stambaugh, 81, resident of Corwith 25 years, died Saturday evening at her home after a nine months illness. Her husband, G. W. Stambaugh, died 11 weeks previously.

She was born Dec. 10, 1859, in Linn county, the ninth of 11 children born to James and Jane Longaere Snyder, and was the only surviving member of the family. She grew to womanhood near Cedar Rapids, attended Western college and for a time taught in the rural schools in Linn county.

On Dec 24, 1889, she was married to George W. Stambaugh. They made their home between Cedar Rapids and Mt. Vernon and after four years moved to the Stambaugh homestead just east of Cedar Rapids where they lived until 1910 when they went to Newkirk, Okla. They later lived at Rowley and Morris, Minn., and in 1916 came to Corwith which has since been their home. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are four children, Ira V. of Huntington Park, Cal., Elva, at home, Wilbert and Sylvia, twins, the former of Columbia Falls, Mont., and the latter, Mrs. Arthur Scheffelman of Corwith; 19 grandchildren also survive. The eldest son, George Erwin, died Aug. 16, 1922.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home with the Rev. A. J. Bakley officiating. Burial was i the Corwith cemetery.

Hold Services for Mrs. Stambaugh at Corwith Residence

CORWITH - Funeral services for Mrs. Anibel Stambaugh were held Tuesday afternoon at the home, the Rev. A. J. Barkley officiating. Interment was in the Corwith cemetery. Mrs Stambaugh died Saturday evening after a nine months' illness.

Pallbearers were Dr. T. G. Ferreby of Humboldt, Fred Bush, Fay Scace, E. G. Gaskill, R. T. Hartwig, A. E. Muillins, Harvey Punke. Violin music was furnished by J. Worth Miller and Mrs. P. E Walley and Mrs. W. H. Perkins sang with accompaniment by Mr. Miller.
