Former Woden Resident Dies

Rites to Be Thursday for Lawrence Lester

Woden - Relatives have received word of the sudden death of Lawrence Lester, 35, at his home at Austin, Minn., Saturday night following a fall. Mr. and Mrs. Lester lived at Woden until several years ago and are well known in this community. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lester who live 1 1/2 miles south of Woden.

Surviving are his wife, formerly Alvina Twedt, and 2 children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lester, 2 brothers, Herman of Woden and George of California, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Alice Shoemaker of Algona and Leona at home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St. John's Lutheran church with the Rev. H. J. Knoploh officiating.
