Richard F. Lenihan rites Wednesday

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Timeon Funeral Home, Perry, for Richard F. Lenihan, 69, 1527 N. Delaware, a retired farmer, who died Saturday in a Mason City hospital. The Rev. William Kroger, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Perry, will officiate.

Mr. Lenihan was born June 2, 1899, in Dallas County, to J. E. and Mary (Straker) Lenihan. He once worked with the Milwaukee Road and later worked with Wilson Packing Plant as a machinist technician. He then farmed west of Klemme, until retiring to Mason City.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. George Hydock, Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Richard (Marlene) Birlheck, Germany; a stepson, Maynard Waisherd, Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; three sisters, Ellen Carlicle, Mrs. Tom (Agnes) Black and Mrs. Slovy Learaid, all of Des Moines; two brothers, John, Des Moines, and Leonard, Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lizzy Breghyman, and a brother, James.

Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Klemme Cemetery.
