OBSEQUIES OF MR. BURKE
The funeral of the late Mr. Clayton Burke was held with impressive ceremonies Sunday afternoon. The English Methodist church of which he had been a loved and helpful member was seated to its utmost capacity with some standing. Several musical number were well rendered. A full capacity with some standing. A helpful sermon was preached by the pastor, Rev. Allen Wood, after which the Masonic brethren concluded the services at the church and falling into line escorted the body to its last resting place in Concord cemetery where they performed their Masonic burial service, one hundred and fifty Masons being in attendance including members from the local lodge, Forest City, Mason City, Kanawha, Britt and other places.
The floral offerings were superb besides many cut flowers there were many handsome emblematic designs, a large machine being entirely overspread with them. In addition to brother Masons, a large procession of citizens in cars attested to the high esteem in which the Burke family is held.
