T. J. Scott dies at Corwith; Rites Saturday

CORWITH: Thomas John Scott, 94, died Tuesday. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Corwith Methodist Church. The Rev. Louis J. Runion will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt, with the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt, in charge.

Born Dec. 30, 1866, at Northwood, Ohio, he was the son of Thomas M. and Sarah Johnston Scott. Dec. 10, 1892, he was married to Minnie L. McCoy at Paxton, Ill.

Surviving are three sons, Earl and Paul, Tucson, Ariz.; Jesse, Corwith; 17 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren; a brother, Samuel E., Belfontaine, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1935; two sons, Glenn in 1918 in World War I, and Dale in 1955.
