INTERMENT IN EVERGREEN CEMETERYSpecial to Garner Leader and Signal
Britt: William G. Blanshan, retired farmer and pioneer of Hancock county, passed away near Britt at 6:30 a. m., Monday, August 6, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 3 days.
Mr. Blanshan was born July 3, 1861 at Sheboygan, Wis., son of Joseph Blanshan.
He was married to Lana Davenport at Gladbrook. To this union nine children were born, seven of whom are living: Milo, Forest City; Mrs. Ralph Anderson, Britt; Mrs. Lyle Dillion, Mason City; Mrs. Percy Luman of Manly; Mrs. Lou Thompson of Luverne, and Mrs. Jay Arnold of Hardy.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Boughton Funeral home, and at 3 at the Methodist church, with the Rev. B. A. Rust in charge. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
