Hattie Slagle Rites Sunday at Stilson

Britt - Mrs. Hattie Slagle, 84, a former Stilson resident, died at the home of her daughter in Waterloo Thursday night.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the United Brethren Church at Stilson. The Rev. Donald Varce will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Britt, with Boughton Funeral Home in charge.

Born Sept. 7, 1875, at Salisbury, Mo., she was the daughter of Archibald and Sarah Jane Robin Johnson. She was married to George Slagle at Keytesville, Mo., Dec. 20, 1893. They farmed near Stilson. He died in 1943.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters, Ollie, Iowa Falls; Russell, Mrs. Vincent (Georgia) Brannon, Mrs. Reu (Ann) Terpstra, Mrs. Glenn (Eunice) Cockrell and Floyd, all of Waterloo; and Orville, Billings, Mont.; 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
