Arthur Smith Funeral Set for Tuesday

Britt - Funeral services for Arthur L. Smith, 66, who died Friday at the Veterans Hospital, Woods, Wis., will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde W. Erwin in charge. The American Legion of Britt will have charge of the services.

He was born April 24, 1891, at Flanagan, Ill., the son of Peter and Eliza Hamlin Smith. He was inducted into the armed forces July 24, 1918, at Garner and honorably discharged September 17, 1918, at Camp Pike, Ark.

His only survivors include three uncles and several cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Earl, and a sister, Mrs. Carol (Hattie) Schultz.

Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery at Britt with military honors to be accorded at the graveside.
