Hutchins, Sept. 11: - Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fohrman have been called upon to mourn at the bier of their only child, Charles Joseph, who died at 12:35 o'clock Thursday morning. following only a brief illness. On Wednesday when it became apparent that the baby was seriously ill Mr. Fohrman's mother, Mrs. O. J. Fohrman, of Osage, was called and she helped care for her little grandson during his last hours.

Death came to the little one as a release from a life of suffering and was caused by a spinal ailment with which he had been afflicted since birth. Mr. and Mrs. Fohrman had taken him several times to Iowa City in hopes of medical aid for him but on their last trip there on August 22 were told that further trips were futile as University Hospital doctors knew no remedy or help for Charles' condition.

Charles Joseph was born December 3, 1938, and died September 7, 1939, at the age of 9 months and 4 days. On December 4, 1938 Charles was taken to St . Patrick's church in Britt for Holy baptism. The Rev. J. P. Quirin officiated at the baptismal service.

Brief services were held at the home Saturday morning followed by services at St. Patrick's church in Britt at 9:00 o'clock. The Rev. Quirin officiated and said the Mass of the Angels. Burial was in St. John's cemetery, Duncan.

Survivors present at the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Wilwerding, parents of Mrs. Fohrman, of Earling; Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Fohrman, parents of Mr. Fohrman, of Osage, and the following uncles and aunts: Mrs. Eddie Zimmerman and son Julius, of Earling; Mr. Carl Wilwerding, of Earling; Lillian, Frank, August, Ceceilia, Anna Marie, and Otto Fohrman, of Osage.

Following the committal services the above relatives and a few friends from Britt and Duncan gathered at the home where dinner was served by Mrs. Henry Weiland and Mrs. Leo Sankey. Later the relatives, with the exception Anna Marie and Cecelia Fohrman, most of whom had been here since Thursday, left for their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Fohrman took the girls home Sunday.

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fohrman extend sympathy in their time of bereavement.
