Kermit A. McCorkle

KANAWHA - Former Kanawha and Mason City resident Kermit A. McCorkle, 69, died Saturday at a Cherokee hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home, Kanawha.

The Rev. Harlan Stenberg of the Kanawha United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will in Amsterdam Township Cemetery, Kanawha. Friends may call beginning Tuesday afternoon until time of services at Carter Funeral Home.

Mr. McCorkle moved from Kanawha to Mason City in 1944 and was employed by Consolidated Foods in Mason City.

He is survived by a son, Jon, Mason City; his mother, Julia McCorkle, Kanawha; a sister, Thelma Brown, Kanawha; and two granddaughters.
