For Mrs. Williams

Hazel Marie Mau, daughter of Charles and Emelia Milbrant Mau was born Oct. 8, 1893 at Britt.

In her infancy she was received into baptism. Her education was received in the rural schools and at Britt High School.

On May 29, 1918 she was united in marriage to Daniel E. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Williams, the wedding taking place at Britt. The couple established their home here, and then Mr. Williams was taken into the service of World War I.

Following his return the couple resided on a farm near Britt until Mr. Williams established himself in business. Blessing the home of Mr. and Mrs. Williams were three sons and two daughters, Donald E.; David C.; DeLoris; LaVerna and Maurice.

Mrs. Williams took active interest in the community and school, was a member of the First Congregational Church. The Leah Circle, the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, the Rebekah Lodge and the Eastern Star.

She was an ardent homemaker and her life centered with her family. Some 5 months ago she suffered a heart attack and was confined to the hospital sometime before returning to her home, and from all indications she had made a full recovery.

On Monday, she and her husband returned from a trip having visited at the homes of their children. Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. she quietly slept away at her home at the age of 66 years and 21 days.

Surviving Mrs. Williams is her husband, Daniel, the children: Donald in Hawaii; David, Rochelle, Ill,; (DeLoris) Mrs. Robert V. Cunningham, Kalamazoo, Mich.; (LaVera) Mrs. Carl V. Christensen, Sioux City, Ia.; and Maurice, Davenport, 15 grandchildren, three daughters in law and two sons in law as well as two sisters and two brothers: (Ruby) Mr. H. O. Holverson, Britt; Harold Mau Mendota, Ill.; (Ida) Mrs. Wesley Cordes, Ft. Dodge; and Charles Mau, Dekalb, Ill., along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by three brothers, Walter, Cecil and Lewis.

Services for Mrs. Dan E. Williams were held at the First Congregational Church on Monday at 1:30 a.m. proceeded by a Prayer Service for the immediate family at the Boughton Funeral Home. The Rev. William R. Thomas brought the message.

Interment took place on the lot of her parents at the Evergreen Cemetery.

Roy Milbrant, Woden; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Cordes, Ft. Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mau and daughter, Mendota, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mau, DeKalb, Ill.; Mrs. Sadie Denton, Titonka; Mrs. Mabel Peterson, Clearwater, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams and Mrs. Julia Williams, Manson.
