BRITT - Dale R. Swaney, 74, of Britt, died Tuesday (March 23, 1993) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Britt, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, with military rites by the Britt American Legion Post 315.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today, with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Chapel, Britt.

Dale R. Swaney was born Jan. 3, 1919, in Britt.

Survivors include his wife, Rose M. Swaney of Britt; one daughter, Sandy Malek, Eagle Grove; three sons, Frank Swaney, Hampton, Larry Swaney, North Liberty, and Ron Swaney, Marshall, Mich; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
