1911-1994

Services for Charles Harold Ford, 83, of Britt, who died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt were held 1:30 p.m., Saturday. Dec. 24, at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Britt with Rev. James A. Mattson as officiant.

Mrs. Dean Cataldo was organist and soloist. Burial will be in May.

Charles Harold Ford, the son of Andrew Neibloc and Violet May Hatti (Hoyt) Ford, was born October 14, 1911 at Emily, MN. After attending school at Emily and Longville, MN, he worked in the Conservation Corps.

July 22, 1944, he married Betty Rhode at Ann Arbor, MI. They lived in Ann Arbor until 1947, when they moved to Blind Lake, MN. They later moved to Minneapolis, MN where he worked as a steel cutter for Jacobson's Hammermill. After retiring in 1976, they returned to Blind Lake and later to Pine River, MN. In 1993, they moved to Britt to be near their daughter.

He was a member of Blind Lake Tabernacle and the A.F.L.C.I.O.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ford of Britt; seven children, Violet May Stangland and her husband, LeRoy of Columbia Heights, MN, Lila M. Tegtmeyer and her husband, David of Britt, Victoria Jane Owens of Lake City, MN, Larene Marie Johnson and her husband, Mike of St. Paul, MN. Julia Eve Isaacs of Fridley, MN, Charles Andrew Ford and his wife. Lisa of Backus. MN and June Alice Anderson and her husband, Frank of Detroit Lakes, MN; 29 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren: a sister, Lily Lovegreen and her husband Glenwood of California; and a brother, Dell Ford and his wife, Lois. of Kankakee, IL.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, James B. Gilmore, his parents; and four brothers.
