ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Jan. 29, 1939

Charles U. Howe, 76 died recently and services were held at Calvary Baptist church.

Mr. Howe was not a native of this area and was known by few people apart from the Calvary Baptist church members. Mr. Howe lived in a small cabin on the Baptist camp property at Clear Lake near the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Loops.

His only living relative, a sister, Mrs. Fred Everett of Fenton, Mich. was unable to attend his funeral.

Services at Calvary Baptist church with burial in Madison cemetery.
