ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Jan. 15, 1959

Mrs. Bertha May Hallett, 60, died Thursday at Britt hospital.

Nov. 13, 1918, she was married to Allen A. Hallett at the Juhl homestead south of Miller. In 1920 they moved to S.D. returning to the Miller community on Dec. 1, 1932.

She is survived by her husband, 5 children, Stanley of Garner, Mrs. Enno Etzen of Forest City, Mrs. William Price of Clear Lake, Leo of Des Moines and Mrs. Melbourne Knudtson of Lake Mills; 1 sister, Mrs. Raymond White of Peoria, Ill., 5 brothers, Peter Juhl of Forest City, Melvin Juhl of Forest City, Clifford Juhl of Forest City, Norman Juhl of Garner and Kenneth Juhl of Garner, 13 grandchildren.

Preceded by a sister, Mrs. Max (Susie) Douglas and 1 brother, Merle Juhl.

Services at Miller Lutheran church with burial in Madison township cemetery.
