ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Dec. 22, 1960

Mrs. Ethel Reynolds, 77, died last Thursday at Mason City.

Born April 20, 1883 at Stratford, England, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gilbert. Migrated to the U.S. at 18 years of age to make her home with an aunt at Fort Dodge. Married to Curtis Walter Reynolds Jan. 11, 1904 at Humboldt. Lived in Forest City, Britt and Hayfield.

Thirteen children were born to the couple, 8 of whom survive, Stanley of Muskegan, Mich., Omer of Fulton, Ill., Kenneth of Sterling, Ill., George of Albert Lea, Mn., Robert of LeRoy, Mn., Mrs. K. N. (Gertrude) Gansveld of Webster City, Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Thompson of Britt, and Mrs. Dewayne (Hazel) Tannahill of Maquoketa.

Preceded by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters in England, 3 sons and 2 daughters.

Services at Hayfield Methodist church.
