Herman Dorow rites Saturday at Garner

Garner - Herman Dorow, 87, died Wednesday at a Mason City nursing home. The son of William and Augusta Dorow, he was born in Germany Jan. 18, 1874. The family moved to Garner when he was 12.

Surviving are a brother, William H. Dorow, Swaledale; four sisters, Johanna Buseman, Gertie Jackson, Pipestone, Minn.; Augusta Holt, Watertown, Wis.; Emma Buseman, Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bohn Funeral Home. The Rev. Trevor Baskerville of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery.
