V. Armstrong rites pending at Garner

Garner - Funeral services for Mrs. Vera G. Armstrong, 60, are set tentatively for Tuesday at Garner. She died Sunday at Marshalltown. She had been living at the Iowa Soldier's Home there since May 1958.

Vera Armstrong rites Wednesday at Garner

Garner - Funeral services for Mrs. Vera G. Armstrong, 60, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church here. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Bohn Funeral Home in charge.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lenus Stewart, she was born in Pawnee City, Neb., Dec. 18, 1901. The family came to Garner in 1907. She was married to Bert W. Armstrong at Klemme in January 1927.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Eunice) Kammrad, Sheffield; Mrs. M. J. (Delores) Shoger, St. Albans, W. Va.; Mrs. Ralph (Roberta) Cooper, Mitchell, S. D.; four grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Roy Quintus, Mrs. Niels Peterson and Mrs. Vern Williams. Her husband died in 1931.

Mrs. Armstrong died Sunday at Marshalltown. She had been at the Iowa Soldiers Home there since 1958.
