Pioneer Iowa Resident Dies
Rites to Be Saturday for Mrs. Ella Volding

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Volding, who died Wednesday evening, after a short illness in Minneapolis, will be held Saturday afternoon, 2 o'clock at the Methodist church in Crystal Lake where she spent the greater part of her life.

She was born July 7, 1870, at Waukon and after her marriage she moved to Crystal Lake. For the past 2 years she has made her home with her daughter, Miss Ella Volding, in Minneapolis.

Eight children, 23 grandchildren, 6 of whom are in the service, and 11 great grandchildren survive. Her daughters and sons are Mrs. Ruth Stevens, Belmond; Miss Ella Volding, Minneapolis; Mrs. Frank Smith, Roy Volding, Gerald Volding, Lynn Volding, Gordon Volding, all of Crystal Lake; and Floyd Volding, Mason City.

Theodore Volding, her husband, died 3 years ago.

The Boughton funeral home of Britt will be in charge.
