Goodell Farm Resident Dies
Pete Steenblock Has Second Heart Attack

Goodell - Funeral services for Pete Steenblock, Sr., 72, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the country home and at 1:30 p.m. in the Evangelical United Brethren church with the Rev. C. F. Spencer in charge. Interment in Amsterdam cemetery.

Mr. Steenblock had been in the usual good health and late Sunday night suffered a heart attack. He had another attack Monday evening and died at 7:10 p.m.

He was born in Germany, Nov. 4, 1874 and came to America at the age of 16 years. Following his marriage Aug. 17, 1889, they lived one year at Belmond, 3 years at Klemme and the past 44 years they farmed 2 1/2 miles east of Goodell on their splendidly equipped farm.

Thirteen children were born. He leaves his wife and children, Pete, Jr., of Kanawha; Mrs. Gertrude Pals of Meservey, Mrs Hattie Koonen of Belmond, Mrs. Edna Meintz of Thornton, Mrs. Leona Meinders of Thronton, Ted of Goodell, Dale of Belmond, Harvey, Donald and Richard at home. Also 13 grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Steenblock were planning to retire from the farm and moving to Belmond Jan. 1 where they had recently purchased property
