The Ben Smidts Mourn Daughter

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Patterson Funeral Home in Mason City for Helen Mae, eight day old daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Ben Smidt of Mason City. The Rev. Dr. B. A. Rust, of Britt, was in charge of the services. Burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery at Britt.

Helen Mae Smidt was born at the Park hospital in Mason City, June 20, weight 3 pounds and 11 ounces. The little infant was placed in an incubator where it died June 27.

Surviving are the parents; the grandmother, Mrs. Henry Smidt, Sr., of Mason City, formerly of Britt; and the maternal grandparents. The mother is the former Dorothy Meckel, of Davenport.
