Former Garner Resident Dies at Eagle Grove

Garner - Mrs. Ray Ford received word Wednesday of the death of W. H. Simcox, 87, former Garner businessman, who died early Wednesday morning at a nursing home in Eagle Grove. Simcox is the father of Mrs. E. C. Ford of Dows and funeral services will be held at the funeral home in Dows at 2 p.m. Friday, with burial in Concord township cemetery at Garner. Simcox formerly operated a variety store in Garner in the building now occupied by the SnoWhite Grocery.
