Clarion Woman Dies; Interment at Corwith
Clarion - Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson funeral home at Clarion and at 2:15 p.m. at the Methodist church in Kanawha for Mrs. Lorena M. Kearney, 79, who died Thursday at the Creek convalescent home in eagle Grove following a lingering illness. The Rev. Louis H. Preul, pastor of the First Methodist church of Clarion was to officiate assisted by the Rev. Ralph Kitterman of Kanawha.
Mrs. Kearney was born June 28, 1869, at Marietta, Ill., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Lincoln Humes. Later the family moved to Flora Ill., and after her marriage to Mr. Kearney they moved to Woolstock in 1914.
They also lived in Corwith and Kanawha and were living in Kanawha at the time of Mr. Kearney's death in 1930. For the past 4 years she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. G. G. Hanson, in Clarion.
Besides her daughter she is survived by 2 grandchildren, Arlon Hanson of Ames and Mrs. Gordon Sobek of Garner.
Interment in the Corwith cemetery.
