GEORGE T. GERDES

George T. Gerdes, 63, of Klemme, died May 19, 1991, at North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

Funeral services were held on May 22 at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Klemme. The Rev. Don Walters of the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ and the Rev. Jerry Robertson of the United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Ell Township Cemetery.

George T. Gerdes was born July 11, 1927, at Avery Township in Hancock County.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie of Klemme; three daughters, Valerie Lemme, Highland Park, IL, Sandra Gerdes, Kissimme, FL, and Dr. Karen Gerdes, Los Angeles; one son, Robert Gerdes, Decorah; one sister. Elsie Nuehring, Osage; two brothers Henry and Elmer Gerdes, both of Belmond; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
