AUSTIN, Texas — Marcia Neuberger Garrett, 80 of Austin, Texas, died Thursday, July 18, 2013.

Marcia was born Aug. 6, 1932, to John M. and Pearl Ax Neuberger in Mason City. She moved with her family to Brownsville, Texas, in 1943. Marcia was a school teacher for 33 years with AISD in Texas.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. John W. Neuberger and wife Barbara of Denton, Texas; daughters, Debbie and Dean Stromer of Klemme, Iowa, Beth and Mike Brymer of Cedar Park, Texas, and Laura and Mark Webb of Bastrop, Texas; her grandchildren, Daniel and Mindy Stromer, Jessica and Mark Irvin, William and Mandy Stromer, David and Amanda Hopper Brymer, Chris and Danielle Hall Brymer, Brian and Meagan Webb, Stephanie and Mark Manning, Joshua and Desiree Webb and 11 precious great-grandchildren.

A public graveside service will be held Saturday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Memorials and expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Westly Foundation — Memorial United Methodist Church, Austin, or locally to Marcia’s daughter, Deb Stromer 1842 Hwy. 69, Klemme, IA 50449

Local funeral arrangements are being held by Andrews Funeral Homes Klemme.
