Burr Church 1900-1993

Services for Burr Church, 93, Klemme, who died Monday, Oct 11, 1993 at the Belmond Community Hospital in Belmond, were held Wednesday,
Oct. 13, 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Don Walters officiating.

Music was provided by Diane Stadtlander, organist, and a duet by Gordon Beier and David Boehman.

Casket bearers were Joel Anderson, Neal Anderson, Gerald Back, Ronald Brinkman, Mark Barkema and Keith Barkema.

Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetey Klemme with Tenold Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

Burr Church, the son of Henry and Mary E. Church, was born June 19, 1900 on the family farm in rural Klemme. He attended schools in the Klemme area.

Burr farmed his entire life, as a hired hand and then for himself. He was living on the farm where he was born at the time of his death.

He loved working outdoors and raising a big garden.

He is survived by two sisters, Octave Anderson of Britt and Lois Crawl of Sandy, OR; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dick and
Catherine Barkema and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother In infancy; and two sisters, May Trees and Adna Ward.
